The Standing Committee on Foreign the International People's Power National Assembly called today World lawmakers to reject the inclusion of Cuba by the United States in the list of sponsors of terrorism countries.

The statement, broadcast by the TV News, expressed the attitude of the Cuban people, which has reacted with outrage at the actions of imposing more stringent security checks at U.S. airports for people with a passport from Cuba viajenr that country or those transiting through this.

The document, the report said, denouncing the double standards of American politics by keeping five Cuban antiterrorist imprisoned, victims of a trial lasting more than a decade, during which time which the defendants and their families have faced extremely cruel treatment.

also reveals that the measure has a political character, is unfounded and has the obvious purpose to justify the blockade against Cuba, which the international community overwhelmingly rejects.

The Standing Committee on International Relations of the People's National Assembly expresses its total rejection of the increase of the measures announced by the U.S. government and supports the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba on 7th January. Similarly

called on legislators to integrate international parliaments, regional, federal and national and to the respective Committees on International Relations of the parliamentary groups of friendship, to reject the measure.
